Hey, family!
I was freshly reminded of how much our neighborhood needs Jesus after He gave me an opportunity to talk with one of our neighbors walking by Vertical yesterday. This woman asked me, "what is a vertical church?" After telling her about our mission, talking and praying together, she said she'd like to visit. Praise God!
Our Missional Sunday is a great opportunity for us to to this very thing-love on our neighbors and city at Grand Old Days on Sunday, June 7th! Take this morning to be with Jesus in your homes, and then plan to go enjoy the festival on Grand Ave and pray for opportunities there to talk with people that need Jesus and a church family.
Many of you are looking to get plugged into our new model of community, so don't miss the Community Formation class that is still happening on Sunday, June 7th at 9:30 downstairs in the family room. Let us know you're coming here!
Also, we had the sweetest time celebrating our volunteers at the Volunteer Banquet last Thursday night (check out the photos below!). Truly, Sundays do not happen without servant hearted people. If you're not part of a team, join us in this Kingdom work by finding one here!
Lastly, let's stand firm against the enemy together through prayer. This Sunday, plan to pray at pre-service prayer before attending a service. The prayers of the righteous are powerful AND effective (James 5:16)!
