Trust in the Lord

What is the object of your trust? Where do you turn when you're in need of strength? Many times, we draw strength from ourselves or others. Last Sunday Matt helped us see that those who have placed their trust in the Lord are blessed, as it says in Jeremiah 17:7: "But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him."

Jesus must be our confidence; there is no safer ground for our trust to land.

Where has the Spirit been leading you in the Word this summer? What's the Lord whispering to your heart in the quietness of the morning?

Maybe as the days fill up and the weeks slip by, Jesus seems to get lost or left behind in your whirlwind of plans. You haven't slowed down to hear what He's saying because you're being pulled in every other direction. There's grace for that, and Jesus is also reminding you, just like He did with Martha, "you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary."

Sit with Jesus this summer-all summer. His Spirit will speak to you.
